AquaPaws Case of the Month November 2019
Snoopy is a 12 year old Yorkie owned by one of our own employees, Roxana! Snoopy was attacked by a dog in May 2018, due to this incident, he suffered spinal injury and lost the mobility in his back legs. He also had a dislocated hip and three broken ribs. He started rehabilitation in Los Angeles after having a Femural head ostectomy (FHO) but his legs weren’t mobile and he wasn’t able to stand up or move around by himself. When his owners moved to Palm Desert he started his physical therapy at Village Park Animal Hospital and he slowly gained muscle in his back legs and was finally able to stand up and take a few steps. He’s been doing the water treadmill twice a week and he’s more mobile now! He’s a happy baby!
